Ford India Recalled 16,444 Units of ECO SPORT Compact Suv for Suspension Promlem


Ford India has recalled over 16000 units of compact SUV Ecosport which were manufactured in the period of November 2013 to April 2014. Ford India has recalled such numbers of compact SUV in order to inspect a potential problem with rear suspension which may lead to an accident.

As per the statement from American car maker, the company has revealed that there is a possibility that the Rear Twist Beam RTB bolt may not be tightened to the desired specification, which result the pivot bolt to break that may result into vehicle compromise thus further causing a risk of an accident. So, as a proactive voluntary action, Ford India has recalled these 16,444 units of Ecosport.


Moreover, Ford dealers throughout the country have started getting in touch with the buyers, in order to bring in their vehicles for inspection which will be carried out free of cost, if found any.

This particular recall from the company has been the third recall for the Ford Ecosport since its launch in the year 2013. The first recall was called in to rectify the faulty glow plug module for the diesel variant after a week from its launch. While the second recall was made due to possible corrosion in the fuel and vapor line.
